There is never a lack of art for the aesthete’s eye in Asbury Park, a town teeming with murals and galleries. With the recent addition of the Rema Hort Mann Foundation’s “Foundation Room,” at Asbury Ocean Club, visitors can view the work of world-renowned artists; the first on display being that of The Doodle Boy, a twelve-year-old freehand artist from the UK. The story of the City’s rich history is told by public art illustrator George Bates via the detailed black and white “Asbury Park” mural, which is impossible to miss along the exterior of Asbury Ocean Club. “The Transparent Clinch Gallery,” located at The Asbury Hotel, displays the impressive, published works of celebrity photographer and director Danny Clinch, including photos of Bob Dylan, Tupac Shakur and Bjork, to name a few. With so much to explore, art is just one of the many ways Asbury Park brings beauty to the shore.
